Meagan Hanks of Belgian Gardens reviews Micro Scooters’ Rocket Scooter.
This Swiss-designed scooter is suitable for kids aged seven and over, plus adults up to 100kg. It has extra wide wheels at both the front and rear, which provide extra grip and stability. It also has adjustable handlebars (66cm-96cm) and a wider footplate.
How have you used the scooter so far? My first foray was freewheeling home with my kids after school: They both have Maxi Micros so I walked all three scooters up to school and we scooted home. They got a great surprise and it was much quicker and cooler than walking. I also took it around the track at the Kevin Schreiber Rotary Park while the kids were bike riding.
What are you enjoying about it? I like the momentum it has – for a small effort it goes a long way and the ride feels really steady. I like the kickstand too so it doesn’t have to lay on the ground when you stop for a play at the park.
Has anything surprised you about the product? It’s heavier and sturdier than I thought but still a light ride, if that makes sense!
Who is it best suited to? I would say this scooter is suitable for primary-school-aged kids right up to adults. It has a 100kg limit, which is why it was my pick – I can ride it as well as my husband and my kids, plus it’s compact and tough as well.
Any constructive feedback/suggestions for improvements? No.
Is it value for money? I think it will last for a long time so definitely good value.
Would you recommend it to others? Yes.
