Activity in a nutshell
Whether you’ve always wanted to try karting, or even if you’ve never considered it before, this is your opportunity for fun in an activity that involves the whole family.
Classes that will be running on the day will be split into groups as follows:
CADETS — Age seven years to 12 years. Please note Proof of Age MUST be provided. The minimum age is absolutely seven years — no younger children will be accepted due to safety reasons.
JUNIORS — Age 13 years to 15 years
SENIORS — Age 16 years and older
What’s great about it?
Townsville Kart Club volunteers come with a wealth of knowledge and the team will guide you every step of the way, from helping you suit up, to getting you settled into the kart and providing instructions on how to operate the kart.
Anyone who joins the club directly from this activity will be entitled to a 10% discount off club membership for your first year.
Who’s it best for?
Anyone aged seven years or older. Motorsport is not for the faint hearted and this session will not disappoint. The Come & Try Karting Day will allow you to drive a kart for the first time, plus give you an insight into how to enter into the sport if you become addicted! Karting is a steppingstone for those wanting to move into sports like the V8 Supercars, as a lot of V8 drivers started their careers in karting.
