Mrs. Smiths’ Parlour is a journey back in time to an era of sophisticated elegance and European refinement in historic Townsville.
Furnished with collectable hand-crafts, fine glassware and china imported from overseas the Parlour harkens to high tea and events for the up and coming 1920s society of merchants, bankers and the early founders of Townsville and their families.
This unique venue is available to hire for private and business events. It is one of the most authentic heritage venues in Townsville to host your function, dinner and/or workshop.
The name Mrs. Smith’s Parlour was inspired by Annabelle Smith, the second, and considerably younger wife of Howard Smith, the building’s original owner. Every effort has been made to acquire suitable furnishings and home wares from a bygone era. Each table, chair, and fixture has an epic story to tell us about the past.
