Kayaking is a great choice for those aged 50+ as it’s low impact on the joints, strengthens the core and offers some cardio while being in the serenity of the outdoors.
In this 13-week course you will learn the skills to kayak and develop overall body fitness.
This river-based program is suitable for all fitness and skill levels and there is a strong element of fun to keep you entertained.
It’s $130 ($10 a session) for the 13-week program – payment must be made in full before commencing. ‘Walk-ins’ are permitted at $15 a head.
Sessions are held weekly in Ross River from April 11 to June 27. The Saturday sessions are 4.30pm-5.30pm (there are also sessions on Tuesday 5pm-6pm and Thursday 5pm-6pm if those times suit better).
Please note: If you have your own craft, it’s $8 a session. Bring a change of clothes, water and sunscreen.
