Come and join Townsville Bushwalking Club on their latest one-day walk and explore the Townsville region. Location TBC.
The Club organises bushwalks every two weeks except for the hottest part of the year. Many of the walks are within an hour’s drive of Townsville. One-day walks are held on Sundays and there are some multi-day walks throughout the year.
Visitors and members who wish to participate in the next walk are required to attend the pre-walk meeting for a briefing on the walk, and approval by the walk leader to participate. The destination is decided at the meeting, with weather and other conditions taken into consideration. The pre-walk meeting is Monday, November 23.
Pre-walk meetings are held at the Blessed Mary Mackillop Parish meeting room (building behind the Church), 43 Ross River Road Mundingburra at 6pm. Refer to the calendar for future meeting and walking dates.
Visitors are most welcome to attend the pre-walk meeting where a committee member will be available to provide information about the Club and answer any queries. If you cannot attend the pre-walk meeting, email the club for info [email protected]
The minimal level of fitness required is to be able to walk up “The Goat Track” at Castle Hill with ease.
