A chance to challenge yourself at one of Australia’s most pristine and iconic beaches, Whitehaven Beach.
World famous for its striking white sand stretching for seven empty kilometres and crystal-clear water, Whitehaven Beach is on Whitsunday Island (next to Hamilton Island) and is regularly voted one of the world’s top beaches.
Nestled in the beautiful surrounds of the Great Barrier Reef, one of the world’s seven natural wonders, this annual 2km and 750m ocean swim meet, plus a fun 350m junior swim for children 13 years and under, is becoming as iconic and famous as its location.
The Whitehaven Beach Ocean Swim is also a proud partner of the Great Australian Swim Series. Founded by Ky Hurst, the series consists of three ocean swims along the east-coast of Australia at Hamilton Island, Byron Bay and Sydney.
